We are so excited to announce our long dreamed of trip to tour Brown Sheep Co. in Mitchell, Nebraska!!
If you are not familiar, Brown Sheep Co. creates some of the best yarn products on the market. It will be fun to go on a guided tour and see the daily process that results in their awesome products. AND shop in their store!! As their business is located outside of Scottsbluff in Mitchell, it’s a trek out there, and we can knit and crochet all the way!
So here’s the scoop . . . we’ll leave Sunday, November 4th at 8:30 am from the ImagiKnit Yarn Shop parking lot. (Your car can stay in the parking lot.) We will ride in the comfort of a luxury bus from Arrow Stage Lines, knitting, crocheting, snacking and laughing all the way to Scottsbluff. Hopefully, we will pick up a few people along the way – i.e., Lincoln, Grand Island/Hastings exit, Kearney, Lexington. We will finalize a lunch stop and arrange a dinner in Scottsbluff. Overnight accommodations will be at Fairfield Inn & Suites. They have a fireplace in the lobby and two fire pits outside. Hmmmm . . . maybe S’mores with “s’more” knitting or crocheting in the evening??
Monday
On Monday, breakfast will be served at the motel. We will then load up to travel a short distance to the Brown Sheep Co. where we will tour the factory and see the start-to-finish process of this family-owned business. When we’re done at Brown Sheep Co., we’ll load up, grab a bite to eat and head back to Omaha, arriving home in the evening. The cost for this fun adventure is $165.00, which includes the transportation and lodging (based on double occupancy). If you would like a room by yourself, add an additional $55.00. Meals (other than Monday breakfast at the hotel) are not included in the price.
To reserve your place on the “fun” bus, call the shop or stop in to make your deposit. Checks or cash are the methods of payment for this trip. This information can also be found on the Events page of our website.
The deposit amount is $100 for a double or $150 for a single, due by Saturday, September 22nd, with the balance due by Wednesday, October 17th. Let us know who your roomie will be or if you want a room by yourself. In order to make this happen, we need at least 40 people to commit to going, with a maximum of 45. Cancellations after October 1st will incur a $50 fee, unless your spot is taken by someone else. If the trip has to be cancelled due to number of participants, there will be no fee and your deposit will be returned.
