Our annual trip to Brownville, NE, only about 1 hr 15 mins south of Omaha will be on Saturday, June 13th, which is also World Wide Knit (Crochet) in Public Day.  Things have changed a bit this year, as River Boat Captain James passed away unexpectedly a couple of months ago.  Our hearts go out to the Smith Family.  The Spirit of Brownville is now on land. However, we are still planning our event in Brownville.

The River Inn Resort, their floating B&B, is still open.  They have graciously allowed us to have our gathering on the B&B.  If the weather is nice, there are chairs on the upper deck for us to sit and knit/crochet and enjoy the sounds of the river.  If weather doesn’t permit, we’ll gather in the dining area, where the river is still visible.
If you’d like to stay overnight, there are 14 rooms on hold through Monday, May 4th.  Rooms are $150 for a Standard Room and $170 for an Executive Suite.  To secure a room, call (402) 825-6441 to make a reservation to stay overnight.  Let them know you are with the ImagiKnit Yarn Shop/Karla Rasmussen group.  The rooms are lovely and include a deluxe home-cooked breakfast in the dining room in the morning.
You don’t have to stay overnight to join the fun.  We’ll start gathering around 4:30 – 5:00 on June 13th.  If you only come for World Wide Knit (Crochet) in Public Day, that’s fine.  Many would come for the dinner cruise, knit/crochet for a while, then head home.
Brownville is a quaint small village with fun places to shop and visit.  Sunday you could eat a wonderful lunch at The Lyceum, check out the shops in town, and attend the concert at the Music Hall at 2 pm.
Finally, since there will not be a dinner served Saturday, we are working out details for supper and will let you know.  P.S.  We’d like to make a list of those planning to join us for the evening or overnight.  Please send an email, call the shop, or let us know when you are in.
