We went to Market! ImagiKnit Yarn Shop has been posting quite a bit on Facebook and Instagram about our travels to Cleveland for the TNNA Market. We thought it would be good to share exactly what Market is. TNNA stands for The National NeedleArts Association and it is the professional group I am a member of as a yarn shop owner. There are many benefits to being a TNNA member, but the most talked about is Market.
Market happens twice a year. It is a trade show for the yarn world. A huge gathering of vendors show shop owners what is new – yarns, notions, patterns, trends and more – for the upcoming season. Owners have the opportunity to meet with company owners face to face and solidify relationships that are made via phone or email.
We also have the opportunity to see new products that are available and touch and feel new yarns. And be inspired by the amazing samples that are displayed! It’s also a time to take business classes to expand skills, form relationships and share ideas with other shop owners.
Market is something I look forward to every time! While it is still “work,” it’s the best work ever!! Yes, I’m tired when I return, but I am energized knowing all the fabulous items that will be coming to the shop to share with you, my customers. I can’t wait for you to see what we’ve found. You are the BEST and I love the relationships we form. Thanks for your support of ImagiKnit Yarn Shop. We’re here because you’re here!
Knitfully, Karla
