Meet Lisa Slinkard!

Lisa and her husband began knitting during the pandemic. For Lisa, by Christmas of 2021 the joy of knitting led her to dyeing her own yarn as well. A small batch hand dyer in the Omaha Metro area, she sells her creations in an Etsy shop and through trunk shows. As a full-time mom Lisa likes the flexibility of being able to be present with her young children, but still work and create.

A painter, Lisa uses that skill as part of her dyeing process. After dunking the yarns she often hand speckles as well. (Check out her Instagram for videos.) Truly combining the painting and dyeing arts! Lisa’s husband is very encouraging and helps knit swatches for the yarns Lisa creates.

One thing that is important to Lisa about her fiber – all her yarn comes from ethical and animal friendly sources. No animals were harmed during the gathering process!

Join us Saturday, July 30th, through Saturday, August 6th, for an introductory Pop-Up Shop with Cozy Cauldren Fiber Co! The yarns are vibrant on social media but even more amazing in person!
